I am a photographer, painter, and poet based out of Portland, Oregon.
Attempting to capture the beauty in chaos is my specialty, whether that be with paint, film, or words.
Hi, I’m Sara.
I’m one of those people that believes that the human experience is characterized by an inevitable exchange of creations. It seems to me that the strongest emotions, the smallest memories, and the unexplainable uncertainties of life are woven into every little thing that humans make. And to create in every single way that I’m drawn to create, as well as support other humans in their creative pursuits, is wholeheartedly what I believe I’m on this floating rock for.
In my 22 years, I have found that I infinitely value the concept of duality. Peace, balance, and simplicity, at least for me, aren’t things that I stumble across easily most of the time. My life is a mess of things I have no control over - you get your luck of the draw. So I tend to rely on the belief that my life will constantly be two things at once. Pleasure, nostalgia, comfort - every fleeting feeling of warmth are moments that I attempt to collect just as I would sand dollars on a beach. There’s a raw simplicity about recognizing what brings about such feelings, and how you can share that with other people. I hold so much love for portraying scenes that radiate this sort of warmth in my work, amidst the chaos of it all.
Anyways, just wanted to write a short introduction. Time for me to hit the ‘02 studio.
Love always,
